Enabling Vonage Contact Center to work in Salesforce Classic, Salesforce Lightning Experience, or both

Your Vonage Contact Center call center settings include a compatibility mode. The compatibility mode is the version or versions of Salesforce that Vonage Contact Center works in.

Newer installations will work with both Salesforce Classic and Salesforce Lightning Experience. If you have an older installation, Vonage Contact Center may only work with Salesforce Classic.

To enable Vonage Contact Center to work in Classic, Lightning Experience, or both, perform the following steps:

  1. Go to Setup in Salesforce.

  2. On the left-hand side of the Salesforce window, in the search box, type 'Call Centers'. Call Centers appears below the search box.
  3. Click Call CentersAll Call Centers appears.
  4. Click the Vonage Contact Center in Salesforce call center.

  5. Click Edit.
  6. Modify the value in Compatibility Mode. Depending on which Salesforce interface or interfaces you want to enable Vonage Contact Center to work with, choose one of the following values:

      • Classic

      • Lightning

      • Classic_and_Lightning

  7. Click Save.
