When you install Connect, you have a new component in your organisation. This component enables agents to make the calls assigned to them.
Before adding the Connect console component to a Salesforce Console, such as the Service Cloud, you must have already added the appropriate app. If you are using a non-console app in Salesforce Classic, you can simply add the provided home page component to applicable home page layouts. For information about adding Connect to your non-console apps, see Adding Connect to a non-console app in Salesforce Classic. If you are using Salesforce Lightning Experience, to add Connect, see Adding Connect to Salesforce Lightning Experience apps. |
To use Connect in a console app, you must first create a new custom console component, and then add the component to the app. Using this component, agents can make calls in console mode.
