Create Dial List button provides a quick way of creating a Dial List from selected items in a List View. The final step in enabling users to create a Dial List from a List View is to add the button to the Search List View.

Before you can add the button to the List View, you must have created the button. For information about creating the button, see Creating a Create Dial List button for a custom object.

To add the button to a view, perform the following steps, which use a Processed Dial Entries view as an example.

  1. Go to the Administration Setup Page in Salesforce.
  2. On the left-hand side of the Salesforce window, in the App Setup section, expand Create.
  3. In the expanded list of items, click ObjectsCustom Objects appears.

  4. In the list of custom objects locate Processed Dial Entry.

    Click Processed Dial Entry. The object appears in read mode.

  5. Scroll down to the Search Layouts section. Locate the 'Processed Dial Entries List View' in the list of search layouts.

    Click Edit alongside Processed Dial Entries List View. Processed Dial Entries List View appears.

  6. In the Custom Buttons section, select Create Dial List in the Available Buttons box.

    Click Add to include the button in the Selected Buttons box.
    If the button is not available, you must create a custom button. For information about creating a custom button, see Creating a Create Dial List button for a custom object.

  7. Click Save. Your new button will now appear in Processed Dial Entries views.
