Adding Connect to the utility bar in Salesforce Lightning Experience

After you install Connect, you must make Connect available to agents to use. You can add Connect to page layouts or the utility bar, or both. To add Connect to the page layouts, see Adding Connect to a page layout in Salesforce Lightning Experience.

How do I add Connect to the utility bar in Salesforce Lightning Experience?

To add Connect to the utility bar, perform the following steps:

  1. Go to App Manager within Setup in Salesforce.
  2. Locate the Lightning app you want to add ContactPad to, click the arrow on the right-hand side and click Edit. Edit App appears.
  3. Click UTILITY BAR and then click Add. A new drop-down appears.
  4. Locate and click Dialler in the list of components. Dialler appears in the list of utility bar items.
  5. Edit the following properties for the component:

    PropertyValue
    LabelConnect
    Iconapps
    Panel Width250
    Panel Height220
    Load in background when app opensSelected
  6. Click Save.
