Summary

Collapsing notes (enhancement)

Administrator is now able to configure Log a Call action in Salesforce classic to collapse (hide notes, additional fields and linking information) when the Agent clicks Save button in Log a Call quick action.

Availability

Contact World for Sales Select and Contact World for Sales Premium

Agent changes

Log a Call quick action may collapse Notes, Additional Fields and Linking information after Agent clicked Save button. To show Notes, Additional Fields and Linking Information Agent needs to click Expand button.

Supervisor changes

None.

Salesforce administrator changes

Administrator may enable the feature for specific users and profiles by configuring custom settings. More information: Configuring collapsing of the Log a Call area

Better handling of stale data in Log a Call (enhancement)

When saving the notes and additional fields in Log a Call action, when the data is stale, Agent may now Save Anyway or Reload the Log a Call. Administrator may also configure Log a Call to automaticaly overwrite stale data.

Agent changes

When user saves the notes and the data is stale, Agent gets two options:

  • Save Anyway which saves the Notes and Additional Fields from Log a Call area, but keeps the Linking Information from what was already stored in the database, or 
  • Reload to load the data that has already been stored in the database

Salesforce administrator changes

Administrator may enable the auto saving the stale data for specific users and profiles by configuring custom settings. More information: Auto-saving notes with stale data
